    Do I need a permit for Sikkim?
    Indian citizens do not need an ILP for Sikkim, but a Protected Area Permit (PAP) is required for North Sikkim (Gurudongmar, Yumthang, Lachen, Lachung) and Nathula Pass. Foreign nationals need a Restricted Area Permit (RAP) and may not enter North Sikkim or Nathula. Permits are bundled into our packages.
    When is the best time to visit Sikkim?
    March to June for spring blooms and Yumthang Valley's rhododendrons. October to December for clear Kanchenjunga views from Tiger Hill and Pelling. Avoid July to September (monsoon), landslides routinely close roads to North Sikkim.
    Can I visit Gurudongmar Lake and Nathula Pass on the same trip?
    Yes. A 7 Day / 6 Night package covers Gangtok base, Tsomgo Lake + Nathula day trip, then 2 nights at Lachen for Gurudongmar Lake. Both require separate permits issued on the day of travel, your tour operator handles this.
    How do I reach Sikkim?
    Closest airport is Pakyong (PYG), 35 km from Gangtok, with flights from Kolkata and Delhi. Most travellers fly into Bagdogra (IXB) or take a train to NJP, then drive 4-5 hours to Gangtok. Helicopter service Bagdogra–Gangtok is available subject to weather.
